Evidence

Terrrorist
Events
Teams are dispatched as
needed on an local, national or international
level.
The
ERT teams are also involved in teaching and training.
Events that they have worked
on in the past are:
9/11
The James
Byrd case
Remains recovery of
the space shuttle Columbia accident
The Murrah building bombing in Oklahoma City
The ERT also works closely with the
department of Alcohol, Tabacco and
Firearms agency.
Mr.
Kinney's presentation was
an educational review of the
importance
of FOD control at airport facilities. Since 1985, the National
Aerospace FOD
Prevention,
Inc., has been conducting conferences about controlling FOD
at
airports. Some of the points that Mr. Kinney raised
were:
Anything outside an aircraft is potential FOD
If you are working within an airport,
clean as you go!
NAFPI is a Non-Profit Educational
Organization
Every year more people attend their annual FOD
seminar
NAFPI meets ISO 9000 FOD standards
Club FOD is a network that communicates about
FOD
FOD causes delays at airports as well as the
potential for damage
The next NAFPI conference
will be held on August 7-9, 2007 at the Westin
Galleria Hotel in Houston, Texas. Click here for more
