Subject : Mr. Bishop spoke on "Controlled Flight Into Terrain" types of accidents using a multi-media presentation.

Background: Ms. Geiger is Manager of the Houston FSDO, and she and a panel of inspectors from the Houston FSDO provided answers to questions submitted by the HAAC membership

Subject: Mr Vacar is the Director of Aviation for the Houston airport system. Mr. Vacar gave HAAC membership a highly informative update on developments with the Houston Department of Aviation.

Background: Mr. Reber is the Manager of Civil Tiltrotor Business Development for Bell Helicopter, and he provided us with a highly informative and entertaining discussion regarding the development of tiltrotor technology and flight.

Speaker: Dr. Max A. Faget Subject : Dr. Faget is the "FATHER OF THE SPACE PROGRAM." We were fortunate to have Dr. Faget as our speaker, who was accompanied by other current and former NASA employees. We also viewed some great slides from the NASA Public Relations office. The story he told was history itself, which made this a great meeting!

Speaker : Mr. Ralph Royce

Background : Mr. Royce is the director of the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston, is a former director of the Confederate Air Force, and is involved with the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame. Mr. Royce provided us with a very entertaining presentation about organizations that help preserve Texas' aviation heritage.
